IT’S INME, I SWEAR

Published:

Following their recent ‘Jumpstart Hope’ UK tour dates, iconic British rock band InMe have revealed the full release date and preorder links for their highly-anticipated seventh studio album, along with a brand new lyric video and single, ‘I Swear’!

Taken from their forthcoming album ‘Jumpstart Hope’, InMe’s latest single is a blasting, high-energy rock anthem that calls back to the vibrant, upbeat pulse of the likes of fan favourite ‘Single Of The Weak’, featured on 2009’s ‘Herald Moth’. Moreover, their latest single cuts even deeper into the bands two decades of history, to the very beginning…

This was the first song intentionally written for Jumpstart Hope”explains InMe vocalist and frontman Dave McPherson“I wanted to try this big riffy thing that harkens back to the guitar work of Overgrown Eden.”

InMe’s debut album ‘Overgrown Eden’ reached #15 in the UK Album Chart and #1 in the Rock Album Chart upon its release in 2003, with the album single ‘Neptune’ reaching #46 in the UK Singles Chart. To date, the Essex-based band have released 6 highly successful studio albums, and toured with the likes of Alien Ant Farm, Nickelback, Limp Bizkit, Pendulum, Deftones, Feeder and Biffy Clyro. InMe have also performed at numerous major festivals including Reading, Download, and Sonisphere.

Aside from pulling influence from the band’s past as a collective unit, InMe’s latest single also represents some of the personal history shared by brothers and bandmates Dave and Greg McPherson. “The vocal melodies for this song were written by Greg using a poem I had written for him,” Dave continues. “The song itself is a confession, about admittance of fault and owning my own guilt. It has this upbeat, metal feel whilst also drawing on mine and Greg’s influence from Vision of Disorder – Imprint, which was an album that helped shape both of our metal tastes.”

Alongside the release of their brand new single, InMe have confirmed the full release date of ‘Jumpstart Hope’, which will be available to stream and purchase from 17th January 2020 via Killing Moon Records. Preorders of the album are now available and will come with all four singles (‘For Something To Happen’, ‘The Next Song’, ‘Blood Orange Lake’ and ‘I Swear’) available to download as instant grat tracks.

If that weren’t enough good news for avid InMe fans, the band have confirmed a second run of post-release tour dates, following their hugely successful dates performing throughout September. Kicking off in Southampton just one day after the release of their seventh studio album, InMe’s ‘Jumpstart Hope’ release tour will take them to the likes of Swansea, Liecester, Milton Keynes, before rounding off with a performance in the country capital on 26th January.
