2026 UK & EU ARENA TOUR ANNOUNCED

Interpol have shared their latest single, ‘Iron City.’ The track is the third to be taken from their forthcoming album This Mirror Weighs a Ton, which arrives August 28 on Partisan Records. Listen to ‘Iron City’ HERE.
‘Iron City’ finds Interpol channeling the tension between past and future that runs throughout This Mirror Weighs a Ton. Paul Banks’ lyrics move through recurring dreams and solitary moments in Central Park, all in conversation with a future consciousness that watches over humanity, blurring the line between creator and creation. The recurring refrain, “I can feel your love, iron city,” anchors the song amidst interlocking guitars, a propulsive rhythm section and atmospheric textures.
Produced by Andrew Wyatt (ROSALÍA, Charli xcx) and mixed by David Fridmann (Sleater-Kinney, MGMT), This Mirror Weighs a Ton expands Interpol’s sonic palette with the addition of strings, woodwinds, layered vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar and experimental sound design while maintaining the band’s signature rhythmic and melodic approach. The album was recorded at Wyatt’s studio on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, marking the band’s first time making a record in their original home base in over a decade.
The first two songs, ‘This Mirror Weighs a Ton’ and ‘See Out Loud,’offer an entry point into the album’s world and arrived with praise from Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Pitchfork, NME, the Fader and more. While the former track is expansive and textural, pushing the band’s sound into new territory, the latter channels the sharp, propulsive energy of classic Interpol and features a rare vocal turn from Daniel Kessler.
Over the past two years, Interpol have remained in near-constant motion, headlining arenas and festivals across Europe, Latin America and Asia, with streaming at an all-time high and audiences continuing to grow worldwide. They recently played to more than 200,000 people at Mexico City’s Zócalo, and a new generation of listeners continues to discover the band.
Earlier this year, Interpol also appeared at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where they previewed material from the new album including “See Out Loud” and ‘Wings on Fire.’Next month, the band will begin a 23-date North American headline tour.
The band will also return to the UK & EU later this year for a special appearance at Outbreak Festival in London on August 23rd and a run of 18 co-headline dates with Bloc Party. The tour begins in Copenhagen on 10 November at the Royal Arena, before heading through Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam, and reaching the UK on 20 November for a first show at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena. The run continues with dates in Cardiff, Sheffield, Dublin and Glasgow, alongside two nights in Manchester and Brighton, before culminating with two huge closing shows at London’s Olympia on 4 and 5 December.
