Gascon duo The Inspector Cluzo are confirmed to return to the UK by opening the second ‘Zippo Encore’ stage of Download Festival on Saturday 15 June. They will be sharing the stage with renowned hard rock acts such as Halestorm, Stone Temple Pilots and Three Days Grace.

The news comes following a hectic end to 2018, which included the release of their tenth anniversary album, ‘We, The People Of The Soil’, and their first UK dates in a decade in the company of Clutch. Such was the impact of their December UK tour dates that Planet Rock featured them as their ‘New Rock’ choice, suggesting that ‘We, The People Of The Soil’, ‘looks set to bring them to a wider audience’ on these shores.

In keeping with their formidable touring reputation, the band took their live show to the Americas at the start of 2019. This involved an extensive North American tour with Clutch, a US tour with EELS, and festival appearances at Lollapalooza Brazil and Chile, Austin’s Shaky Knees and Mexico’s Viva Latina.

‘We, The People Of The Soil’ has spread the band’s name further afield with the UK’s Classic Rock heralding its ‘Wilko-string strops with razor-honed wit’ in an 8/10 review. The album has also received accolades from RAMzine who characterised the band as having ‘a touring history that covers every continent on earth except the poles’ and Blues Doodles who approve of the ‘charm and likeability that runs through every note on this album’ in their 8/10 review.
