INME SWEAT BLOOD

Published:

Ahead of the September dates of their ‘Jumpstart Hope’ tour, iconic British rock band InMe have unveiled their latest video single, ‘Blood Orange Lake’.

Supporting their upcoming release of their seventh studio album with a run of performances throughout the UK, InMe’s lyrically haunting and powerful ‘Blood Orange Lake’ is the third single taken from ‘Jumpstart Hope’, which will arrive in stores and online in the not-too-distant future.

“This is an honest ode to self loathing whilst also being a song about loving someone so much you believe they are the one”explains founding member and InMe vocalist Dave McPherson.“‘Blood Orange Lake’ has evolved a great deal from its initial form, starting out as a strange electronic song before my brother (Greg) got hold of it and shaped it even further. It’s a crazy, heavy, brutal love song.”
As with the band’s previous singles – ‘For Something To Happen’ and ‘The Next Song’ – the release of ‘Blood Orange Lake’ comes accompanied by a music video laced with an underlying narrative. Continuing an interlinked story that has unravelled across the band’s two previous videos, InMe’s third visual outing takes a slightly different approach to the love story that has unfolded thus far.

Conjuring a metaphorical representation to back up the single’s emotional values, the video for ‘Blood Orange Lake’ is intended to suggest that the male protagonist is going through an emotional change during the later years of his life. Produced by Tom Dalton, the InMe drummer has explained that the interconnecting nature of each music video is intended to provide an encompassing overview of the narrative themes explored across the duration of ‘Jumpstart Hope’.

Last, but by no means least, InMe have finally broken their silence on the release date of their upcoming seventh studio album. Along with the release of ‘Blood Orange Lake’ as the band’s latest single, the quintet are thrilled to confirm that ‘Jumpstart Hope’ will release in stores and online in January 2020.

The band will release a more specific date for fans to mark in their calendar in the near future.
