IN PAYNE

Since launching out of lockdown with their debut single, British metal newcomers Jason Payne & The Black Leather Riders are back with ‘The Dark‘; A macabre, visually gripping, riff driven creation inviting you beyond deception, into the depths of the darker side: https://youtu.be/TIENdwGGGgw

Riding the giant wave of their newly found listening-base, ‘The Dark‘ follows on from December’s ‘Waking The Damned‘ since having amassed hundreds of thousands of VEVO / Spotify streams, proving new metal is once again at the forefront of the underground scene. A leap beyond Jason’s past musical endeavours, and one that is soon to be taken to the London-stage, in the black heart of Camden Town’s legendary streets [Camden Rocks – July 10].
“The Dark is a song that sums up the theme of this EP. It’s about death, obscurity and the “nothing”. It talks of things like trying to reach to the void, feeling confused and betrayed, and about a person that’s losing his essence. Without a consciousness, and with no purpose in our lives, we’re just a bunch of roamers taking a road to the abyss, and that leads us to the dark and lashes us to insignificant beings floating in “the nothing”.”
“Starting this new chapter of my artistic life is a dream come true for me. “The Dark” is a perfect starter to showcase the artistic direction of this project, and it’s a pleasure to finally release this track. I couldn’t be happier with the result – I believe this EP and this specific track is one of our best works so far. I’ve always been interested in philosophy, and this song really showcases my interest in that field, our cohesion and friendship as a band, our image and our sound. I feel good about our chances of building a long-lasting career with Jason Payne & The Black Leather Riders, and I know that this is the beginning of our long journey in the music industry” – Jason Payne
Think big riffs, grit-laden vocals, high impact visuals, and an energy just screaming to be taken to the stage. The Dark, out now on Spotify, YouTube, and all major outlets: http://smarturl.it/JPthedark
