HEY THIEVE CHARITY SINGLE

Published:

HEY THIEVE is a project put together by Neil Hunter -guitarist in Takeaway Thieves and Cat Southall – celebrated solo artist and singer in Hey Hello, to contribute to the late Top Rock Photographer Alex Ruffini’s Charity “Cancer Drugs and Rock and Roll”.

Alex passed away in 2019 and now a collaboration of musicians who were all friends of Alex have come together to record an album of covers by Alex’s favourite band KISS in what is going to be entitled “We keep on shouting – Not your Average KISS Tribute” the Ruffini Family are going to apply to Guinness Book of Records for a tribute with the greatest number of musicians involved.

Neil says, ” I was kindly asked by Alex’s brother Martino and Alex’s friend Alvise Sclisizzi if I would like to contribute to this cd. Well how could I say no, Alex was a good friend and Kiss are my favourite band too, so it’s a no brainer really.”

“The first Kiss song I heard on the radio actually Tommy Vance’s Rock Show was Killer, I think it’s a Great song but Kiss nor anyone else seem to play it, So I thought I’d record that and try and make it a little different with a female voice. I’ve known Cat since she was in Hey Hello and I actually introduced her to Alex, So she was well up for it.”

Hey Thieve’s version of Killer is premiered on Youtube tonight at 7:15pm
