Hadal Return To Their Roots

Published:

We are what we are. Back to our origins, back to the 90s.” That’s the message from these Italian deathly doomsters

Raised from the ashes of the gothic metal/rock band So Cold, Hadal were formed in the end of 2009 in order to reform their sound into something more doomy and gloomy. Now, the band’s presenting their sophomore demo titled “The Obscure I”.

“The Obscure I” is full of sad and melancholic guitar chords that easily go into something more distorted, yet melodic. The self-inflected pain carried on by the melodious clean vocals is another component in Hadal’s concept that’s transformed into suffering growls giving to the songs an imposing climax.

Completing that characteristic, Hadal are also able to produce heaviness through the musical arrangements taking us into the death/doom scene.

This latest work creates an atmospheric environment and is the band’s ultimate showcase to open path for the full-length album they are recording.

1. White Shade
2. Low Winter Sun
3. Silent Grave
4. Without a Word
5. The Obscure I
6. Crimson Vessel
Running Time: 27 min
