Rising Nashville glam rock sensation Gyasi {Jah-see} has unveiled a new live video for “Snake City,” a rip-roaring blues-infused track from his latest album Here Comes The Good Part. Gyasi also appears on shock-rock legend Alice Cooper‘s highly anticipated reunion album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper (out July 25th), featuring the original bandmembers from his classic early ’70s lineup, Standing in for the band’s late founding member Glen Buxton, Gyasi handles the guitar parts that were meant for the original guitarist.
Gyasi shares a bit more info on joining Alice’s band, “I was on my way to a gig when I got a call from Bob Ezrin, which was surreal, and interesting because I had been listening to an Alice Cooper greatest hits cassette tape in my van for months leading up to that because it was the only cassette I had at the time. He asked me to come and do one session to see how it goes. I think the band initially were very skeptical to have a new, younger kid come in and play with such a close knit band. I treated it like I was playing with any other musicians. My goal was to get on the same wavelength and make something exciting together. I was honored just to be invited into the room, and to fill the role of the legendary Glen Buxton in my own way. I thought if it worked it worked, if it didn’t, then I wasn’t meant to be. We quickly bonded over a mutual love of The Yardbirds and Groucho Marx and pretty immediately locked in and began working out arrangements. We were all speaking the same language of rock ‘n’ roll and really jamming together. Then the next day they sent me 14 more songs to record. They’re all really lovely guys, and they play together in a way that’s really magic. It’s undeniably the Alice Cooper Group.”
Alice’s longtime producer Bob Ezrin also weighed in, “Gyasi did an amazing job of filling the hole that Glen left within the band. He brought a similar spirit to the project along with a lot of his own magic. He was extremely thoughtful about the role he was playing and very creative in the way he played it.”

Gyasi seems in many ways to come from another planet, and being raised in the woods of a West Virginia holler might as well be another planet in this day and age. His parents bought him a guitar at a local flea market when he was six years old and he still hasn’t gotten rid of the fleas, or the guitar.
