Having signed to Frontiers Music Srl in early 2021, Swedish rockers degreed have announced that their new album, ‘Are You Ready’, will be released on 11th February 2022. “I can’t believe we’re about to release our sixth studio album, but what could be more perfect than to release this album with Frontiers, the leading company when it comes to melodic and hard rock,” states vocalist Robin Eriksson. “Are You Ready’ is a straightforward hard rock album with great melodies that I’m sure our existing fans will like, but I hope we will gain a lot of new ones as well. I am so proud of this band and I am very humbled that we are still around.”
‘Are You Ready’ definitely shows a more focused direction for degreed’s sound. With catchy songs that remain extremely melodic, and containing memorable instrumental sections, the band are back stronger than ever and have never been more ready to launch themselves onto the world stage.
degreed have been releasing critically acclaimed records ever since their debut album, ‘Life, Love, Loss’, in 2010. The group have gone from strength to strength over the course of four further albums and numerous tours, gaining a worldwide following with a sound that mixes classic, melodic and hard rock with contemporary influences that presents a personal, fresh and exciting mix of great music.
Due to the pandemic, the band were not able to promote their 2019 album, ‘Lost Generation’, with a tour, so instead began writing new material. They released a song entitled ‘The World We Knew’ that represented their summation of the year 2020 (gaining a Track of the Week accolade from Classic Rock/Louder in the process), before beginning work on what would become ‘Are You Ready’.
