GREAT HURT

Despite the excitement and glamour of heavy touring and playing bigger shows, Sounds Good In A Bar see’s Katy reflect on the odd jobs she’s done from working in bars and cafe’s to pumping gas on the overnight shift. It’s daydreaming during those shifts and venting frustrations to friends that led to the idea for this song.

Encapsulating a period when she struggled as a young musician, Katy says the song illustrates the sensation of acceptance, of changing the lifelong dream of selling out stadiums to simply hoping that you can entertain people each night in the local bar and make a song sound good anywhere.

In other exciting news, with nearly a million global streams, Hurt has garnered the attention of Canadian-based music group, Johnson Talent Management (JTM) which has led to the signing of a worldwide management deal.

“Katy is a standout artist in the UK and has made a name for herself, we look forward to growing her career,” explains Jeremy Johnson, Hurt’s manager.
Major festival appearances include C2C, The Long Road, Isle of Wight, Chagstock, Cornbury and Black Deer
