There’s not much Graham Dee doesn’t know about making music.
Nicknamed “Mr Tin Pan Alley” during the 1960s and ’70s, Graham played a pivotal role in the music industry as a musician, songwriter, producer and A&R man. His remarkable career has taken him from performing alongside some of the biggest names in music to writing, producing and recording music on both sides of the Atlantic.
As a performer, Graham worked and toured with legendary artists including The Animals, Van Morrison and The Drifters. He went on to become a recording artist for Pye Records, a staff songwriter for United Artists and ATV Music, and a record producer for Polydor/Atlantic. His musical journey even took him to the legendary Muscle Shoals Studios in Alabama, where some of the world’s finest musicians have recorded.
Best known for his work in 1960s soul music, Graham Dee is now returning to his country roots, bringing a lifetime of musical experience to a collection of previously unheard songs spanning his creative life — from the early 1960s through to the modern day.
At 83, Graham is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the release of his new single, ‘Easy To Love’, arriving on September 25, 2026.
A beautiful slice of sun-drenched country-rock, ‘Easy To Love’ combines electric guitar, a lush string section and Graham’s unmistakable soulful vocals. The track features Graham on vocals, Paul Gibson on piano and keyboards, Richard Sutton on acoustic guitar, and Sharon Gibson on bass guitar.
I wrote ‘Easy To Love’ with Sara Blumenstein around thirty-odd years ago whilst in New York. Sara was an excellent lyricist! We also wrote ‘I Remember Christmas’, and a little ditty called ‘Something Funny Goin On’, which is going to be on the new album. Graham Dee
‘Easy To Love’ is the first single from a forthcoming album currently in the works, scheduled for release in 2027. The album will bring together songs that reflect Graham’s extraordinary creative journey, drawing on material written and developed across more than six decades.
With a career spanning generations and experience both in front of and behind the microphone, Graham Dee continues to demonstrate that creativity has no expiry date.
