The fourth single off Noah Reid’s upcoming album ‘Gemini’ is titled ‘Got You’ and it was released today with an exclusive premiere via Sounds Like Nashville. The singer-songwriter, known for his work on Emmy-nominated sitcom Schitt’s Creek, will celebrate his birthday on Friday, May 29 by releasing the sophomore album. ‘Gemini’ is available on pre-sale now digitally through iTunes.
‘Got You’ is a song about balance. It’s an affirmation of love and solidarity, and it’s also about allowing freedom in a relationship to let the other person do it their way, to struggle, to fail and to still know there’s someone there with them when they need help.
“I wrote the song as a reminder to myself that sometimes it’s important to be there for the people you love while they’re figuring things out without stepping in and taking over and trying to fix it for them.”
Born in Toronto, Reid is also known for his work on television, film and stage, including his role as Patrick on the incredibly popular sitcom Schitt’s Creek. It wasn’t until recently that the world got a glimpse of his serious musical talent. With a songwriting style that touches on the singer-songwriters of the seventies and an honest, contemporary delivery, Noah Reid is a combination of old and new, of polished and rusted over. ‘Gemini’ is Reid’s second studio album, produced by Matthew Barber, it will be released on May 29, 2020.
In 2015, Noah was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Original Song in the feature film People Hold On. In 2017, his soulful acoustic cover of Tina Turner’s pop hit The Best on CBC’s Schitt’s Creek cracked #3 on the iTunes Canada Charts. That directed fans all over the world to Reid’s 2016 debut solo album Songs From A Broken Chair. With support from all over the globe including, E! News, Entertainment Weekly, LA Times, Boston Globe, ESPN, ET Canada, Exclaim!, Pollstar, Medium, Pop Sugar, Chicago Daily Herald, CBC, Indie88, Spotify Editorial Playlists, Apple Music and Amazon Music playlists and more, Noah’s talent has reached fans in an incredible way.
