Midlands noisemakers GANS released their debut album ‘GOOD FOR THE SOUL‘ in September via Peter Doherty’s Strap Originals label. Produced by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, Amyl & The Sniffers, The Fall, Working Men’s Club), it’s a rollercoaster of surprises that sees the band traverse heated post-punk and darting electronics, residing in a world of dusky, after-hours brooding. They’ve become mainstays on the BBC 6 Music playlist, winning further support from the likes of Clash, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, Louder Than War, Rolling Stone UK, So Young and more.
Today, the band shares ‘THIS PRODUCT DUB’, a reworking of album track ‘THIS PRODUCT’ that twists the original source material into a throbbing, dancefloor-ready, anti-capitalist party.
The band sums things up, saying: “Buy. Consume. Eat. Breathe. Repeat. Type. Read. Listen. Look. Dispose. Compose. Waste. Produce. Walk. Run. Stop. Go. Always. Never. Start. End. Feel. Touch. Burn. Nothing. Something. Sleep. Watch. Smile. Cry. Scream. Pain. Rest. Circle. Back. Finish. Begin. Hello. Goodbye.”
