French band who have just released
Ellipse is a five-piece band from Nantes, France formed in 2007, exploring a post-hardcore sound not too far removed from artists like The Ghost Inside and Shai Hulud.
They released their first work, a 5-track EP titled “L’Ampleur Du Vide” in 2012, which created a palpable buzz in the French underground scene and allowed them to play numerous shows across France with the likes of Devil Sold His Soul, The Arrs and As They Burn among others.
Now in 2015, Ellipse returns with their first full-length “À Nos Traîtres”, which means “at our traitors” in French. Recorded and mixed by Arthur Lauth at Brown Bear Recording, and mastered by Ronan Cloarec at Masterlab Systems, this new album not only sees the band refine their crushingly heavy post-hardcore sound, but it’s also the group’s most varied and consistent work to date.
