Falling Into View have now released their new single ‘Solid Ground‘, a wonderfully melodic and seriously catchy track that’s without doubt going to raise the band’s profile through the roof! A truly exceptional single from a hugely talented band and one not to be missed.

‘Solid Ground‘ was penned by singer Lyss whilst at Uni when going through some events and circumstances she hadn’t seen coming.
In her words: “it made me lose my balance and it felt like I couldn’t quite figure out who I was or where I should be, you know that feeling when you are swept up in a storm and cannot find your footing to get straight again“. She goes on to say “There’s that moment where the people around you, the most incredible friends and family, start to pull you back down to the ground and help you find yourself again – to regain a firm footing on solid ground – that’s the essence of this song”
Receiving fantastic reviews across their live shows, Falling into View blend the best of Country and Americana with an unashamed nod to Pop and Rock, delivering a sound that will resonate with fans of multiple artists and genres and meaning it is not easy to pigeonhole this band into any singular style or genre. This is further enhanced by the fifty-year age gap between singer songwriter Lyss and guitarist songwriter Allan with the vast array of influences across the generations fundamental to the warmth and depth of sound and lyric.
The Herefordshire based band brings together vast live and studio experience, with a lineup that feels like it was drawn together by fate, albeit via a few bumps in the road!
Singer Lyss has previously been a BBC Introducing artist, drummer Gordy played in a previous band with guitarist Allan. The lineup was completed by bringing in the talented Karen on keys and in 2026 Ewan joined as our new lead guitarist with Alex being welcomed into the fold on bass – both of whom had previously worked with existing band members! Bringing together the lineup you see today as if it were meant to be, with everything “Falling into View” nicely!
With a rich mix of influences and an undeniable chemistry and an ability to not take itself too seriously, Falling into View is ready to make its mark—one song at a time.
Falling into View feel privileged to have been working with, and mentored by, multi-platinum and BMA award winning producer Gavin Monaghan. They recorded their first three singles in 2025 and were delighted by the positive reaction to “What is it like to Lose?”, “On with the Show” and “Things (that I thought might one day be useful)”. They have returned to the studio with Gavin in 2026 and are proud to announce that they have their next single “Solid Ground” to be released at the end of August and “When The Wind Cuts Through later in the year.
In September 2025, after only six months together as a band, Falling into View were delighted to be announced as a BBC Introducing Featured Artist for Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire and have been played on BBC Introducing South West. They have also been played across numerous radio stations including Radio Wigwam’s Remember The Name and Black Diamond FM’s Emerging New Artists shows.
