Six December Shows – Schubert Dip Performed In Full Plus “Best Of The Rest”
Deluxe Schubert Dip Reissue out 4 December Via Cherry Red Records
EMF are heading back out on the road this December for a very special run of UK shows – bringing a week of “SD” fun to fans across the country.
The band will play six shows across England and Scotland, taking in Stockton-on-Tees, York, Hebden Bridge, Glasgow, Gloucester and London, with tickets available here: https://emf-theband.com/shows
And this time, fans are in for something very special.
Each show will feature two sets, with the first seeing EMF perform their landmark debut album Schubert Dip in full, followed by a second set featuring the “Best Of The Rest” – bringing together more of the songs that have made EMF one of the UK’s most distinctive and enduring acts.
Originally released in 1991, Schubert Dip was the album that introduced EMF to the world, showcasing the band’s unique collision of rock, electronic beats, samples and infectious pop hooks.
The album spawned the international smash ‘Unbelievable’, which became a global hit and reached No. 1 in the US, as well as UK hits including ‘I Believe’ and ‘Children’. Schubert Dip remains an important part of EMF’s musical legacy and a defining album of the early 1990s.
The 35th anniversary of Schubert Dip will also be celebrated with a deluxe reissue via Cherry Red Records on 4 December. The release will be available as a limited-edition 2LP set and an expanded 4CD set.
The limited-edition 2LP set will be pressed on transparent green and orange vinyl and will feature the original album alongside eight remixes of its four hit singles. The release also includes new inner sleeves featuring the lyrics and a brand new sleevenote featuring quotes from Ian Dench and James Atkin.
For those wanting the ultimate Schubert Dip collection, the 57-track expanded 4CD edition includes 19 previously unreleased tracks and is housed in a deluxe clamshell box. Alongside the original album, the set brings together remixes, B-sides and live versions, as well as previously unreleased demos. The 44-page booklet includes rare imagery, lyrics and the same brand new sleevenote featuring quotes from Ian Dench and James Atkin.
With the anniversary reissue and these very special live dates arriving together, 2026 offers fans the chance to rediscover Schubert Dip in both its original and expanded forms – and experience the album performed live in its entirety.
