Take Me By The Hand is the opening track on Echo & The Bunnymen’s majestic forthcoming album Apples For Isaac, due for release on 18 September via BMG, and it’s a mighty calling card from Ian McCulloch and the band. Flying over the Bunnymen’s unhinged guitar-led grooves, Mac’s words spiral like a compendium of unneeded life choices: part aggrieved and part daydream logic, none of them are needed in order to bond. The simplicity of normal life should do just fine.
With the legendary Clem Burke playing drums, Take Me By The Hand was produced by Ian McCulloch and mixed with Alan Mouder and Andrea Wright. Play loud and welcome back the Bunnymen.

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & The Bunnymen cast an astonishing brightness into the long shadows of punk rock. From the very beginning they brought matchless musicality, along with Ian McCulloch’s unmistakable and inimitable wit and soul, to a body of songs that generations since have learned to sing. Over the years, their poignant and stirring records have been labelled everything from new wave and post-punk to psychedelia and goth. In truth, they are simply the glorious work of one of the greatest rock n roll bands ever.
Echo & The Bunnymen are:
Ian McCulloch, Will Sergeant, Ste Brannan, Simon Finley, Mike Smith and Peter Riley.
