Light sabres at the ready its a Star Wars inspired track

How do you celebrate the release of one of the most anticipated films of all time? Well, if you’re The Dollyrots, you release a catchy as hell song inspired by the subject matter!Be My Leia is a short, sharp, firmly tongue-in-cheek slice of pop punk brilliance that will have you nodding your head and tapping your feet as you attempt to count the numerous references to a galaxy far, far away….

Here’s what The Dollyrots own Luis Cabezas had to say about Be My Leia:

“We’re not Star Wars freaks but we sure love a few of them! We originally wrote “Be My Leia” for a fan as part of an acoustic album. With the movie coming out we decided it was time for a full out rock version!”

Be My Leia can be obtained from The Dollyrots’ Bandcamp and/or Noisetrade accounts on a “name your own price basis”.

The release of Be My Leia follows on from the announcement of The Dollyrots brand new forthcoming studio E.P Mama’s Gonna Knock You Out, will be heading everyone’s way on the 29th of January 2016. Full of catchy melodies, infused with energy and with Kelly O’s unmistakable soulful yet spiky vocals, Mama’s Gonna Knock You Out is going to be a short, sharp reminder of why everyone needs a dose of The Dollyrots in their life.

In addition to their brand new Star Wars themed song, and their forthcoming E.P, The Dollyrots will be making a long awaited live return to the UK alongside Bowling For Soup on the huge “How About Another Round Tour” in February 2016. Having toured the US with their good friends across the Summer, The Dollyrots will once again team up with Bowling For Soup by serving as main support on all dates of the tour.
