New EP to see the light of day next year

Alt tunesmiths ‘Delayed Departure’ unleash their explosive new EP ‘Consequences’ through all stores and platforms on Friday 22ndJanuary.

Hampshire quintet, Delayed Departure are poised to climb through the ranks of the Brit-rock scene with their heartfelt brand of melody-drenched rock. Pulling together an alternative edge with throbbing guitar rhythms and alluring emotive vocal lines, pitched with considered dynamics, the alt-rockers draw from a range of areas, but they have a particular affection for You Me At Six, Paramore and Don Broco. The end result is something that will captivate and ignite.

Formed in 2013 by old school friends and guitarists Charlie Bluck and Jamie Hooks, the duo soon recruited Steven Kedge on drums and vocalist Mike Harland to elaborate on their sound. However, the four piece really needed a genuine bassist to complete the band. By the end of the year, Ollie Drapper entered the fray and massively solidified the group. Through 2014, the band worked tirelessly on shaping their live set, whilst continually playing a plethora of shows throughout the South.
