Sweden‘s The Holy Ghost will release their third studio album “Ignore Alien Orders” on September 22 via Lövely Records. Inspired by the American underground scene of the 80/90’s, with bands like Hüsker Dü, Dinosaur Jr, Rites Of Spring, The Replacements, this 7 track release offers a unique mix of punk, rock and post-hardcore.
The third and final single leading up to the album is called “Worker’s Curse” and is available on all streaming platforms from the 25th of August.
The band comments on “Worker’s Curse”:
J Mascis / Dinosaur Jr is always a great source of inspiration, just in general, but it‘s especially evident in this song. It also has a very rocking chorus. A song about and for everyone who has a meaningless, shitty job they are forced to give eight hours a day to, year after year, and how hopeless and degraded you feel selling your time and labor so that someone else, never yourself, will become even richer.
“Ignore Alien Orders” was recorded in The Dustward, Stockholm, Sweden by Stefan Brändström, who also mastered the album. The album will be released on all streaming platforms and purple vinyl on September 22, and can be pre-ordered now here: www.theholyghost1.bandcamp.com
