Crossing The Ocean

French post metallers release an album this December

An Ocean of Void is a five-piece from Bordeaux, France. It is a project that reckons it has played “hard-to-classify heavy music with plenty of contrasts since 2010.”

Its inspiration goes from different scenes as post-rock, atmospheric metal or progressive metal, with a Pink Floyd influence clearly established.

After a self-produced demo (2012), the band’s debut album ‘The Great Escape’ will see the light the 4th of December, through Inverse Records. With melancholic nuances and latent sadness, ‘The Great Escape’ is a perfect soundtrack for dark winter days, a real journey through feelings and emotions.
