Autumn tour announced
Band Of Skulls has announced a string of new UK headline dates to take place in October, culminating with a night at London’s Roundhouse on October 26, before a homecoming show at Southampton Engine Rooms on November 17. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday April 22 via https://bos.lnk.to/BoSTickets, with a fan presale at 10am on Wednesday April 20. The new dates are in support of their forthcoming album By Default, which is due for release on May 27 via BMG, and follows the band’s already announced shows that include a sold out night at London Electric Ballroom and a slot at Glastonbury in addition to various festivals and intimate warm up shows across the UK and Europe. The band have also shared a live video of new song ‘Erounds’, which is lifted from By Default. The video was filmed at Rockfield Studios where the album was recorded and is available here.
The upcoming live shows – for which the band will be joined by touring member, Portico Quartet’s Milo Fitzpatrick – will be the first airing of new material from By Default.
“It’s definitely a new era,” says Russell Marsden. “The first three records were like a trilogy, a piece of work in of themselves. We wanted to do those things, and we did them all. We took a breath, took a look at what we’d done, and started from scratch again.”
