Continental Lovers singer/guitarist Joe ‘Desglose’ Maddox is releasing a solo single, ‘Nobody’s In Love Anymore’, available on all digital platforms on Monday 24 August. This precedes Continental Lovers’ short UK and European tour, which starts on Wednesday 2 September.
The song sees Joe return to his power-pop roots with a retro, acoustic-driven song about falling in lust but knowing it won’t last. Produced by long-time collaborator Phil Booth (Grey Hairs, Sleaford Mods, Desperate Journalist), the stripped-down, hook-heavy number shares similarities with Continental Lovers but sees Joe lean more on melody and less on power.
Continental Lovers return in November with a double A-side 7-inch single, ‘The Ghost Of Paris Square’ / ‘Well Kept In The Dirt’.
