COME ON TOVA

Published:

TOVA have hit the big time. Since the release of their ‘Melancholy’ music video last month the contemporary rock four-piece have seen a rise in financial fortune and therefore decided to buy a house. The only problem is the mansion is haunted by their ghosts who meddle with anyone that enters… including its current renters. Speaking about the events, TOVA say: “We thought ‘Might as well turn it into a music video and film the unearthly spirits haunting the new guests!'”. Hence, the music video for new single ‘Happy People’ was born. You can watch the concept unfold here.

‘Happy People’ is the third single from the band’s recent EP Happy Music for Sad People which also includes ‘Land of the Living’ and ‘Melancholy’. If the former is the band’s electronic shot of energy and the latter their attitude inflected track, ‘Happy People’ is the arena rock anthem in the vein of That’s the Spirit era Bring Me the Horizon, Imagine Dragons, and The Hara.

Frontman Jack Fawdry is thrust to the centre of this track as he stretches his vocal ability and challenges the best rock singers in the game. Together with the band, he transforms the song into a grandiose affair suited to the cinematic video that they have created. In a world where music videos are becoming something of a lost art, TOVA fly the flag for innovation and creativity. The band’s visual eye has even helped to amass them over 150,000 followers on TikTok where they share thoughts on rock and metal, neurodiversity, and of course, keep people updated on all things TOVA.
