The new Sonic Youth

Altered Hours have released the psychedelic and hypnotic new track ‘Way of Sorrow’ with Clash Magazine, from their upcoming debut ‘In Heat Not Sorry’.

Having recorded their first EP ‘Downstream’ DIY, the band were invited to record their second EP ‘Sweet Jelly Roll’ with Fabien Leseure in Berlin. It was subsequently released in May 2013 by Anton Newcombe’s A Recordings, home of psychedelic pioneers The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dirty Beaches and Magic Castles.

The group released a 7” – Dig Early – on Cork label Art For Blind in April of this year and their debut full length, In Heat Not Sorry, will finally see the light of day early next. Melodic, abrasive, dual girl-boy vocals, a Sonic Youth-esque approach to guitar tone and crashing feedback, this first track demonstrates the antagonistic post-punk sound that they’ve crafted on their upcoming debut.
