The UK’s Rock & Metal Festival Continues to Build Momentum Ahead of 2027 As the 2026 summer festival season draws to a close, Call of the Wild Festival is already looking firmly towards 2027, and continues to whet the appetite with an eclectic third wave of band announcements guaranteed to please, excite and intrigue rock and metal fans across the UK and beyond.

Following two hugely anticipated announcement waves, the festival is once again throwing open the doors to its musical wild side, delivering another diverse collection of artists that showcases exactly what Call of the Wild has become renowned for: great bands, great music and absolutely no boundaries when it comes to rock. From hard-hitting metal and classic rock through to alternative sounds, modern heavy music and emerging talent, the latest additions further strengthen an already impressive 2027 line-up and underline the festival’s commitment to bringing together established names, future stars and some seriously exciting surprises.

Sweden’s Velveteen Queen are bringing a fresh shot of classic rock attitude to Call of the Wild, blending the swagger of Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses and The Black Crowes with their own explosive sound. Since bursting onto the scene in 2022, the young quartet have rapidly built a reputation as one of Sweden’s hottest new rock acts, sharing stages with Judas Priest, Alice Cooper and Megadeth, touring Europe with Nestor, and opening for Mammoth WVH. Their momentum continues to soar. In 2025 they signed a worldwide deal with Silver Lining Music, while June 2026 saw them support Alice Cooper at Sweden’s spectacular Dalhalla Amphitheatre. Their highly anticipated second album, The Greater Good, lands worldwide on 18 September 2026. At just 20–24 years old, Velveteen Queen are already making serious noise, and they’re only getting started. Back by popular demand, French AOR rockers Harsh return to the Wild!

We’re always listening to our audience, and we believe in showing faith in the bands who have helped make the Wild what it is. So, we’re delighted to welcome back four firm festival favourites, We Three Kings, Molly Karloff, Liberty Slaves and Voodoo Sioux! New faces joining the Wild in 2027 include US rock’n’roller Ricky Rat (Trash Brats, Dead Boys), who’ll be kicking things off in style by opening the Welcome Party. And making the trip from Spain, speed metal maniacs HUNGER bring their high-octane attack to the festival for the first time. And the announcements keep coming! Joining the 2027 line up are Rattlesnakes, Electron, Hemloch, Firmament, Deus Culpa and Heartstrung , six more acts ready to make their mark! And this is only the beginning.

With Call of the Wild Festival 2027 taking place from 28th–31st May 2027 at the Lincolnshire Showground, anticipation is already building for another unforgettable weekend of live music, entertainment and the unique atmosphere that has made the festival a firm favourite with rock fans. The third wave has arrived, and the Wolfpack is getting wilder. Further artist announcements, festival news will follow.
