Hotly tipped Blues band to make “Ain’t No Moonlight” available this Friday.
Buck and Evans, a Welsh based blues band that have been hotly tipped by everyone from Slash to Classic Rock Magazine, will release new single “Ain’t No Moonlight” on Saturday, via iTunes.
That’s far from being the only activity from the band this week, though, as they will also be releasing their latest “in the Rockfield Studio” video, “Impossible,” the day before.d
“….Moonlight” is a former Classic Rock Magazine track of the week, and they said: “Imagine if Eric Clapton sat with Mama Cass, or Joe Bonamassa with Ann Wilson, or Stevie Ray Vaughan sat with Adele…you’ll get the vibe”. That’s what this duo ask us to picture, and we’ve done so. And we’ve decided that what they’re really saying is, “Look! a man who plays mighty fine blues guitar and a lady with a voice that’s big!” And that actually requires very little imagination at all. Especially when it’s as good as this.”
It’s a pretty decent summation of proceedings, to be fair.
If you think that guitarist Chris Buck is familiar, as MVM did when we ran into him just prior to the magnificent Kenny Wayne Shepherd gig last weekend, it might be because he played with Slash, appearing onstage at the top hatted one’s NIA gig a couple of years ago. A review of which is here.
More news on the single is promised soon, but for now check out this video – a previous one from the studio and www.buckandevans.com/
