Swedish alt. Rock outfit Bring the Hoax release “Lighthouse”; the second single leading up to their debut studio album “Single Coil Candy”. A warm and fuzz-driven track, “Lighthouse” offers huge, melancholic, yet beautiful soundscapes shaped by melodic guitars, emotional lyrics, and bittersweet melodies. With influences from the finishing decades of the 20th century and bands such as Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Built to Spill and Smashing Pumpkins, the Stockholm based four-piece blends the best of the ‘90s with their own fresh sound.

The song came about after a prolonged process with a close friend of the band who had gotten stuck in a relationship that left the person completely controlled by codependency abuse. “Most people can probably relate to the feeling of wanting to leave something, but don’t do it because they constantly hope it will get better again, even though they know deep down it never will.”-Karl Nordahl
