Speaking on winning Kerrang!’s, The Deal competitionRITUALS comments:

“Words cannot describe how amazing it is to be winners of The Deal 2023. It’s the honour of a lifetime to play the 20th anniversary of Download alongside some of our favourite bands. We can’t wait to play our riffs for you all at Download and release our best music yet through Marshall Records! Huge shout out to Kerrang!, all the bands involved in the competition, and lastly a massive shout out to all of our fans that voted for us and had our backs since the start. These 4 lads from Newcastle are eternally grateful! See you down the front “

About the new single ‘LIVING BLIND’, the band adds:

“The release of Living Blind feels like a turning point in Rituals. Lyrically based on the lack of awareness for others issues, problems and grief. Living in a world in which people only take and fail to give to one an another. With our debut Download Festival performance, tours in the UK and Ireland and our biggest ever sold-out headline in Newcastle…There’s never been a better time for the band to be releasing this track.”

Formed in 2018 as a college project, RITUALS quickly gained industry recognition and are set to make waves in 2023. Backed by influential tastemakers, the band’s debut EP “Awake” garnered support, with Kerrang!’s Alex Baker championing them on his Fresh Blood show. Known for their electrifying live performances, RITUALS has supported notable acts like Skindred and As Everything Unfolds, solidifying their presence in the UK music scene. Their EP “Show Me the Signs” showcases their evolving song writing and musical maturity, with each track exuding a unique energy. Winning Kerrang! Radio’s The Deal competition in 2023 secured them the chance to record a game-changing EP with Marshall Records and perform at the 20th Anniversary of Download Festival. Fresh from a triumphant hometown headline show, RITUALS is ready to dominate the Avalanche Stage and become your favourite new band.
