The Wanted Sisters (Cat Aimi and Savannah Gardner) are set to release their brand new single ‘American Sunshine’ via all streaming services on 6th September 2023.
The track is a joyous sentiment to beauty of life, filled with southern harmonies and thunderous glee.
The song came about when Cat randomly described L.A born Savannah as American Sunshine one morning before a recording session. She states:
“This sparked an idea about how amazing it feels to be having the most perfect day and we imagined driving across the States in an open top car and the song just appeared! We love how it’s impossible not to smile when we perform this song.”
Gritty, witty, raw Americana delivered by two striking bad-ass women, Savannah, and Cat, who punch out songs from the heart about tequila, digging for diamonds, and working your fingers to the bone. The recordings are stitched together by Martin Sutton, multi-platinum hit songwriter and producer.
Their debut song “Been Through Hell”, 2nd single “Drink About It” and 3rd single ‘Carousel’ went straight to the top of the iTunes Country Charts and were quickly playlisted by BBC Radio, plus country music stations around the world.The team at BBC Introducing loved The Wanted Sisters so much they announced the girls artist of the week and invited them to play a live session at Hay Festival.
