The intensely evocative rock ’n roll blues troupe The Striders are back with ”Woman” – the first single from their upcoming brand new album.

Explaining the topic of the new song, Mattias says: “It is about being exploited by one’s partner. Feeling bad in your relationship. You kind of get blinded by the desire, but you understand that you have to get out of the relationship.”
The Striders is a band sprung from the roots of Blues, Soul and Rock and they always strive to give the audience a strong live experience and music with great dynamics ; one moment luscious, next moment raw and naked, third quiet and soulful.

Under the influence of Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry and AC/DC along with a burning passion for raw, dynamic rock ‘n roll, Mattias joined his first band as a guitarist at the age of 14. After years of writing his own songs, a yearn arose to put together a band with a classical setting. A band that would play with great dynamics and spring from the roots of Blues, Soul, and Rock.

First there was Victor – brought up in the Swedish bible belt, he enthralled pub audiences as a troubadour and in cover bands long before he reached legal age.  His focus is to evoke emotion within the audience – as long as they feel something, he has succeeded

Then there was Jonathan – in his early teens raised in the Finnish city Jakobstad, he played songs by Metallica and Iron Maiden with great passion and bad equipment. Years went by in the duty of drumming, bands replaced each other and back from military service he decided to make music his professional career. A decision that brought him to the fair neighbouring country in the west.

Finally there was Linnéa – descended from Slagnäs way up in northern Sweden, the professional audio engineer and bass wonder child, performing since her childhood in elementary school, was the last one to join the band, and The Striders were completed.

Woman is released April 21st  via Raw Street Noise. Discover more:The Striders | FacebookThe Striders (@the.striders.official) • Instagram photos and videosTheStriders – YouTubeThe Striders | Spotify
