Kill The Silence are a powerhouse post-hardcore band hailing from Leeds, UK. Formed in 2012 at Leeds College of Music by frontman Jason Walsh and lead guitarist Sam Rickerby, the band was born from a shared love of melodic intensity and emotional honesty, taking inspiration from the likes of Lower Than Atlantis, Deaf Havana, and Mallory Knox.
After solidifying their line-up in 2018 with Ian Souch on bass and John Wallis on drums, Kill The Silence burst onto the scene with their debut EP Bloodlines. The release featured standout singles You Should Know, The Design, and All We Are – the latter earning airplay on Kerrang! Radio and BBC Introducing. Their growing reputation also landed them support slots with We Came As Romans, Mallory Knox, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, among others.
Between 2020 and 2023, the band continued to evolve, releasing a string of dynamic singles including Inevitable, Sinner, and Lost at Sea, while welcoming rhythm guitarist Daniel Ridding into the fold.
Now, after spending the past year writing and refining their sound, Kill The Silence are ready to usher in a bold new chapter. Their comeback single Hide & Seek – releasing 28th November 2025 – marks the beginning of a new era for the band, setting the stage for a massive 2026.

The name ‘Kill The Silence’ is a Doctor Who reference – from the Matt Smith era, the monsters were called ‘The Silence’ and to defeat them they broadcast a message of one of them saying ‘you should kill us all on sight’ – hence you should Kill: The Silence
