You’ve heard the phrase ‘Northern Powerhouse’, and now you can experience them in the flesh!
Welcome to BLACK FALCON who have just released their new single ALONE AS A GOD, the first track to be unveiled from their new album SKYBURNER which is set for release on the 22nd October.
Gutarist Jonny Hunter explains how the bands sound has evolved and made the single an obvious choice:
“We knew Alone as a God would be the single from the day the idea started to perculate. It represents everything that our new direction is all about; riff-heavy, hard-hitting and enthusiastic.”.
Lee Durham (Drums) continues,
“Leaving the old style behind and setting off on a new path is quite exciting, we’ve taken on a new approach to writing and its pretty liberating for us. Skyburner is the beginning of the journey, I can’t for it to be heard!”
Alone As A God is available from all good outlets right now, you can purchase and stream on your favourite platform at the following by clicking here.
Since forming back in 2015, Black Falcon have been making their presence felt with their particular brand of riff-fuelled, distortion-driven sounds and have made the most of their time.
Following their highly acclaimed debut EP, 2016’s Living in Me, the band released their first full-length album Turn Around and Face the Sun in 2018 – an anthemic, high-energy body of work boasting the bands unique blend of heavy riffs, smooth grooves, blistering guitar solos, thumping bass and monolithic lyrical hooks.
This collection of works afforded Black Falcon several notable live shows throughout the UK, appearing at the 2019 Bloodstock Open Air festival, as well as appearing with the likes of Los Angeles legends LA Guns and 00’s rockers Puddle of Mudd. During the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Black Falcon remotely recorded, and released their follow-up EP Ego Mortem Machina, which offered a preview of the band’s latest incarnation (following the departure of guitarist Richard Fisher and the introduction of Richard Dale). All of which was a precursor to their latest, self-produced album later in 2021.
