Founded in 1980 and still helmed by band mainstay Martin Bowes, Attrition have been based in the English Midlands town of Coventry for most of their existence. An integral part of what soon became a flourishing UK and worldwide underground (post-) industrial electronic scene, they played early shows with other iconic acts such as Coil, The Legendary Pink Dots, Test Dept. and In the Nursery, releasing music through a who’s who of international underground labels: Third Mind, Projekt, Antler, Contempo, Hyperium, Invisible…and now Two Gods. All the while, the group have continued to evolve, create, record and tour.

‘A Permanent View? Black Maria Remixed’ is a companion remix album that follows ‘The Black Maria’, issued in 2024 and the first album of new material by Attrition for nine years. It contains 20 versions of the songs ‘The Great Derailer’, ‘The Alibi’ and ‘The Switch’ from artists based in the UK, mainland Europe and North America, including Bellhead, Chiasm, Microwaved, Lights of Euphoria, Vaelyne, Kitty Lectro, Satori, Khost, Jenna Leigh Raine and Martine.

Having toured Australia and New Zealand in late 2024, the group will continue to promote both albums with numerous live shows worldwide in 2025, with the following dares already confirmed:
