Veteran death metal vocalist teams up with Cali doomsters
Veteran death metal vocalist DONNIE MARHEFKA of underground metal bands such as Burial, Evilution and Unsanctified has joined Hollywood, California based brothers of doom ANCIENT SPELL in lending his screaming, deep metal growl vocals to this quickly growing, hardcore thrasher band.
ANCIENT SPELL was founded by writer, guitarist and backing vocalist, CONRAD VIZ in 2013 and also features, Dan Rado on guitar, Jeff Clark on bass and Rob Thompson on drums.
In September of 2015, ANCIENT SPELL’s newly released album FOREVER IN HELL, distributed by MINATAURO RECORDS, quickly climbed to the #2 position on ReverbNation.com in the same month under the category of “Best Los Angeles Metal Band”.
In the short months to follow, ANCIENT SPELL has not only placed their haunting song “WIZARD OV DOOM” on the soundtrack of the upcoming indie feature film, NOWHERELAND, set for international release in 2016, but the brothers of doom have also performed their foreboding song FALL OF HUMANITY on the hit television series, “CHECK IT OUT WITH DR. STEVE BRULE”, which features actor JOHN C. REILLY on the Cartoon Network’s, ADULT SWIM, due to air in March of 2016.
Actively touring the Southern California area to promote FOREVER IN HELL, you can catch ANCIENT SPELL live on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood at THE VIPER ROOM on December 10, 2015 and again in Hollywood as ANCIENT SPELL headlines at THE WORLD FAMOUS WHISKY A GO GO on February 20, 2016.
