Championed by BBC Introducing, Radio X and Vive Le Rock, the new single serves as a follow-on to the recent track Rebound and a prelude to their second album, scheduled for release in 2024. Powerhouse vocalist Millie describes Shut Your Mouth as a track that delves into the concept of “fair-weather friends”, highlighting those individuals who only reach out when they want something from you.
With their dynamic sound and candid lyrics, the band explores themes such as loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak, environmental concerns and political unrest, all while exuding the prowess and punk attitude that sets the band apart.
Millie Manders and The Shutup have built a strong reputation through their versatile discography, including their debut album Telling Truths, Breaking Ties and a hugely popular cover of the massive Little Mix global hit Sweet Melody.
