When a UK Melodic rock stalwart and members of a Jovi tribute act get together for a new venture, “Acquiesce” happens
Created from the ashes of “Sacred Heart” and having released multiple albums between 2004 & 2011 which still sell to this day, featuring frontman Paul Stead & lead guitarist Mark Stephenson “The Darker My Horizon” have risen.
Also featuring members of the very popular Bon Jovi tribute “Born to be Jovi” Bassist Max Notaro & Drummer Gavin Tester whom have played various shows across Europe including the MTV Music Awards in Berlin and completed by Rhythm guitarist Alan Kirkham, “The Darker My Horizon” certainly have experience in the industry.
The result of that experience is the stunning debut album “Acquiesce” a catchy, upbeat collection of anthems drawing influence from legends of the rock field such as BonJovi, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Whitesnake as well as modern rockers Nickelback, Black Stone Cherry, Hinder, Black Label Society to name just a few.
Having gathered critical acclaim already for their debut album by various media outlets “The Darker My Horizon” are a band on the rise. With a new album being planned for a 2016 release and a support tour with US rockers “Bulletboys” the future looks very good for a band that will no doubt be on a lot of lips as they progress through their career.
